Did you know that only a few lubricants are suitable for use with condoms?
When using condoms, you must make sure you use the correct lubricant - otherwise the condom may burst!
Only use those lubricants which have been specially designed for use with condoms. When buying the lubricant, make sure that all of the following details appear on the packet:
- CE symbol:
- this points out that you have bought a legal medical product. The symbol has to appear by law on all lubricants and lubricating gels!
- Information:
The german words "kondomfreundlich" (condom-friendly) or "kondomgeeignet" (suitable for use with condoms) - only products which have this labelling may be used with condoms!
If one or more of these do not appear on the packet, then do not use the contents with condoms!
If the CE symbol is missing on the packet, then you should not use these lubricants even if you are having sex without a condom!
Independent tests on condoms smeared with an incorrect lubricant have shown that over 40% of them burst much earlier than they would normally do.
Many unsuitable lubricants contain small amounts of oils and therefore there is no guarantee that condoms smeared with these are safe to use.
Please read all these instructions carefully, especially the instructions on safety!
